Why is it leaking oil from oil filter after i did oil change??

Not good.

Wrong filter, damaged filter or filter not tight enough.

Double check.

Did you get an oil light on dash (2 quarts low).
The computer may have shut the engine down before engine failure if you are lucky (oil light). If you did not blow your engine (sieze) and you fix the filter problem put some 'lucas' oil in your engine to help with excessive friction caused by low oil level.

I hope this helps.

I have a 96 honda civic 1.6 liter. when i acclerate my car sputters and dies when i reach around 20 mph. it runs perfeclty when i dont acclerate and now it haves trouble starting. i recently bought new...

It could be several things. Start with the most simplest things like replacing the fuel filter, air filter and running a fuel system cleaner through the engine. A clogged catalytic converter can also be a reason for poor accelleration. Are there any trouble lights on the dash like the engine light or check engine light? Have your charging system checked as well just to make sure everything is up to par. This can be done for free at nearly any autoparts store like Advanced Autoparts or Auto Zone. Other possibilities could include water or other foreign substances in the fuel tank/system, a failing fuel pump and clogged injectors if the engine is fuel injected. Hope this helps.

Hi. I have honda civic 1992, the problem is when I turn the engine off and try to start, it does not start, unless I wait 2 or 3 mins so pls help what the problem is thmks

One of two things:

1 - Coolant sensor for ECU that tells the ECU how hot / cold the engine is (bit like a choke) replace this as it is cheap and good house keeping.

If still no good then:

2 - Blocked tank vent - when the problem happens remove the fuel filler cap and try to start, if it starts fine the vent tube for the tank is blocked. Unblock to resolve. (normally the thin tube that runs down the side of the filler neck, some Civics do have a seperate filter vent on the side of the fuel tank)

If still no good let me know but I am sure it will be one of the above.

How to change the HEPA cabin filter in a 2006 Honda Civic

Open the glove box and there are push out tabs on the left and right side pop them out. Now watch it because you are about to dump the contents of your glove box on the floor. let the box hang freely from the lower hinge and look in the back. You will see a white panel that pulls out the panel has a tray attached with the filter element in it remove old element and replace with new 20ish bucks at the parts store lots more at the dealer. re-install filter tray and reverse your removal steps to re-install. Recommended approx 15k or annually

Starting problem with honda civic

Next things to check are fuel and spark, remove a spark plug and with the wire attached crank the motor, if you see spark in the plug then it's not a spark issue and probably a fuel problem. If there is no spark could be bad plugs or wires, or distrubitor cap. To check fuel remove injector cover and crank motor, if there is no fuel coming out then check fuel filter, fuel pump.

Good Luck
