Question about 2004 Hyundai Tiburon

1 Answer

Light under dash

I have a 2004 tiburon I bought my daughter. I noticed a little red light mounted under the steering that has a switch to turn it on and off. It almost looks like it is an alarm. As far as I can see there is no alarm. It looks like factory, not sure. Could you please assist me with this, have you seen this before on any other Tiburon's? I appreciate your assistance with this.

There is a blinking red led light under lower left side of driver and steering wheel attached to dash. It blinks ALWAYs!!!

This is most likely your "Valet" alarm disable switch. Use to disable your car alarm so you can keep your Alarm Fob and let a Valet, mechanic, friend etc. operate the car without the alarm being functional. If it is an after market alarm, consult the mfg's manual, if OEM contact dealer for operating instructions.

2004 Jeep Liberty - Turning signals stopped working completely

Control arm box? Are you referring to the multi-function switch or the directional module under the dash on right side of the steering column. Don't assume just because a component was recently replaced, that it is good test it...quality control is terrible and I've seen many "new" parts not work right out of the box! Also make sure that your dash ground is good.

I have a 2004 jeep liberty and i put the key in and it will not turn. the dome lights work and everything else but i cant turn the key at all!! the steering wheel is not even locked nor pushing the brakes...

try turning the steering wheel to the left a little then to the right keeping steady pressure on the key . it also might be the saftey nutural switch sticking mounted on the steering colume under the dash.

Light of cluster not working

Hi connie58,
There could be a few things that have caused this.
The most simple solution I can think of is the dimmer switch. This switch is located on ur dash near the steering wheel somewhere. Its not an ordinary switch it is one you can roll up and down, and has a lil pic of a lightbulb near it, you can't miss it.
Next we have the fuses. You can locate these fuses in the kick pannel, this is located again on the drivers side, either to your left, right or under the steering wheel. Check all fuses, find the one for you dash light cluster, and replace it regardless. Because even though it may look intact the fuse could be on its way out. A better way to check the fuse is to get a test light, hook it up to an earth post [the best place is a screw or bolt on the door] turn your car on reds ACC and take your light to the 2 pins you can see at the top of your fuse [you dont have to take the fuse out].
There are many little light bulbs in your dash, if the car has been incorrectly jump started, this could have caued them to blown, but believe me its a billion t one chance them all blowing at once. My bet is more than likely a fuse has blown or the headlight switch/dimmer switch has failed.

My brake lights don't work on my tail lights, window light works

under the dash board, up behind the brake pedal mounted on a bracket, is the brake switch, that might be bad.

My turn signals dont work but my hazard lights are blinking. everything else in my car works just fine. my brother says that it was the hazard switch thats shorted out and the relay is causing a clicking...

Did the battery get changed recently? There is a small black box under dash near steering colom that has a little red button on it. Press the little button for a few secounds allowing it to reset the security system. It should stop your marker lights from flashing. It was a stock security for that year. The box is about 4 inch square and is usually just under dash near your knee. Good luck.
