Engine support problem!!!!!!

I have a 2007 PT cruiser and i have 21000 miles on it , i disregarded the oil consumption problem , but now i have another problem which is the engine sound. when the car starts the engine sound is normal but as soon as the cooling fan starts the engine sounds becomes very high .. and also when i start to reveres i feel the engine vibrates too much in the steering wheel. i was told it is one of the engine supports that's faulty ( a brand new car !!! ). the other problem is my steering wheel , it is supposed to be a hydraulically powered steering wheel , and it just does not feel like it .. this is my first American car , and i am having a very bad experience with American automobiles compared to German and Japanese
I appreciate the support and any information you can provide me ..

Your car is still under factory warranty ...if you are not getting any satisfaction from the dealer there is a customer service number in the owners manual so that you may contact a chrysler tech i know of no related situations.

I would expect this car to be under warranty.

The cooling fan seems to be making the sound you don't like. If the bearings are going out, that would explain the noise. I would connect and disconnect the fan and see if the noise came and went. If the noise were related to the engine , it would vary with engine speed.

Disregarding "oil" problems will leave you stranded at the side of some road. Where did you get this car ?

Have you checked the power steering fluid reservoir to make sure it is full ?

The engine is not connected to the steering wheel directly, so if your steering wheel is vibrating excessively while you are stationary , a) the engine is severely unbalanced or b) the power steering is screwed up.

How much oil should my 2007 SRX use between oil changes it only has 23,000 miles on it now?????????????????????

Oil consumed between oil changes (assuming 2,500 miles) should be between 0 and 1 quart, for a healthy engine.
More oil consumption is annoying, but not viewed as an issue by manufacturers, in fact most would not do anything until you exceeded a quart in 600 miles (I would be livid!!!), but that is how they think of it.

All that being so, the cost of repair far outweighs the cost of the oil, so to rebuild for oil consumption is often not cost effective. Personally, I would go mental at more that a quart between oil changes.

I have about 52,000 miles on my 2008 Pt Cruiser. How many miles can I drive before I need an oil change?

You should replace the oil every 3,000 miles or 3 months. Unless you are using synthetic oil. With synthetic you can go to 10,000 miles. But I change mine at 7,500.

My pt cruiser 06 2.8 turbo started leaking oil?

OK, anytime oil gets into the cooling system or vice versa, there's a strong possibility that there is a leak at the head gasket.

Could have to do with overspeeding the engine.

The cooling system can get up to 14 to 16 psi, enough to burst into the oil lines which run next to the cooling lines in the head and block.

If it's spilling on the front driver's side of the car, then you have some serious problems with this engine.

PT cruiser 1.6L, 70000km. Fuel consumption

As an L1 ASE Master technician, this sort of fuel consumption should be setting an engine code or codes. What I believe to be happening is that the fuel trims are being falsely skewed down to which the vehicles response would be increase duty cycle of fuel injectors to attempt to maintain a perfect stochiometric (14.7/1 air fuel) ratio. I need to know if the vehicle has any check engine codes. Have them check even if the malfunction indicator lamp is NOT on. They can be burnt out..

Go to an Autozone or O'rilies and have the codes pulled. Their scanners are archaic and their "counter" people were just working at Mc'Donalds last week, and most of them have no idea about a car and would already be lost at what I have told you, but they CAN plug their handheld scanner into the car and push a button. Let me know what you find.

I have pt cruiser 2.4 manual. Why am i only getting 25 mpg. 31.000 miles on clock

The government fuel economy specs for your year PT Cruiser are between 24 and 26 mpg highway, depending on what transmission you have (auto, 4spd standard, 5 spd standard), so you are getting what you should. Unfortunately, the PT Cruiser can't do any better than that. It does seem that a car that size would do better, but Chrysler needs to improve gas consumption on all it's vehicles, that is one reason they are in such trouble now.

Overheating engine

Check your oil dipstick for coolant, or a mucky substance. Your symptoms sound like a blown head gasket.
