Question about Mitsubishi Galant

1 Answer

I have a mitsubishi Legnum 1996 4wd, recently when turing a tight lock the steer will not auto straighten but will stay on the lock and almost want to increase the angle, This is a strange feeling and probably a bit dangerous. This year I have replaced the lower swing arms and a dry cv joint I noticed that the outside of the front tyres are wearing and it could be the alignment but it feels like more than that. Any ideas on what could be causing this problem?

the truth is , you didnt post country, nor engine size.
they match engine power to transmission (load rating)
so>? forget that.. that is for later.
IT DIED< so if the engine dont START the tranny issues are moot.
so does it crank.????
if it cranks , it next needs spark got spark to all cylinders.
that is if its not the Diesel engine, IS IT??

My steering wheel keeps getting stuck

Modern vehicles are fitted with a steering lock which is an anti-theft device. It is fitted to the steering column usually below the steering wheel. The lock is combined with the ignition switch and engaged and disengaged either by a mechanical ignition key or electronically from the vehicles electronic control unit. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Correct procedure for changing timing belt on Legnum gdi wagon '97

You do not need a little advice from an online auto repair blog, you need a SERVICE MANUAL. I would recommend purchacing a service manual for your vehicle at your local parts retailer or subscribe to online service information on a professional automotive service information provider such as alldatadiy.com

The small fee will be well worth the investment.

have you tried giving it a hard ****? some models (i know from experience) you put your key in, depress the brake and give the steering wheel a hard **** to unlock. hey, it won't cost to try.

Is the lower pulley bolt a left or right hand thread on a 97 mitsi legnum 4g93 engine?

normal right hand thread. You wont find anything on that particular engine that is left hand thread. Some of them are so tight that you wonder if it is reverse, but rest assure this one is not. May take an impact gun to break it loose.
