If ya do need a computer I grabbed one from a wreck a while ago and havent needed it yet. If ya need it, Ill check back in a few days and see. I'm in B.C. canada. Could be alot of things though. Distributor loose, weak pump, timing, air leak in one of many seals. Best o luck, let me know about computer. you can have it super cheap, dont mind helpin out, cause I know how much you were probably quoted, bro in law had to replace his in a 92. Thats why when I saw this one I scooped it up.

88' dakota v6 misses and sometimes quits running

Could be several reasons for this. Plz check fuel filter, air filter and general tune-up items ( I. E.) Spark plugs and wires, air cleaner etc.

Transmission problems with a 88 Dodge Dakota Sport 4x4 need to kno what kind of problems they caused or if they were recalled

Recall??? For a worn-out transmission problem? I do not think you understand what a safety recall is.

As far as what kind of problems can happen with a 24-year-old transmission in a pickup truck....there is not enough space on this page to list all of the possibilities.

It sounds to me like it is time for a transmission overhaul or replacement.

12 means your battery has been dead or disconnected recently, no need to worry about it. I think it was something like 50 starts before it goes away, if at all.
