thanks for the advice but it didnt help in any way because the car still pulls on the left and the brake is not sticking because the car moves down on a slightly hilly street on a neutral gear.

Have you checked the tire pressures? Uneven tire pressures can cause issues like this.

Hard steering at idle

Check belt tension, check p/s fluid level. Check tire inflation, if all, ok probably a worn out P/S pump.

09 toyota camry...warning light is on...looks like a horseshoe with an exclamation point in the middle..no clue what it means.

Hello. Welcome to FIxYa. Please allow us to assist you.

The ( ! ) light is your Low TIre Pressure warning light. This indicates that you have a low tire, or combination of tires that are not at the factory specified inflation presure..

We would recommend that you get the tire pressures inflated to the factory specs; the specs are on the driver side door opening area

Replace front brake pads on 1990 camry

when you take the tire off make sure the car is properly sitting on a car stand.. cut your steering wheel so you can see what your doing.. there should be two long bolts that you can see that go threw one side of the capilar to the other it should be a hex bolt or allan bolt. most of th time you have to go buy the wrench from the dealer. after you take those out you'll see a little thing that looks like the inflater for a bicycle tire.. you need to open that up a little. that's were your brake fluid will come out of.. now with a tire iron stick it between the two calipars and push them apart with a steady motion once you have got them apart close that little ***. then pull the whole thing off the wheel. you can put your new pads of then. good--luck ray
