Question about 2003 Volvo V70
I have a V70 wagon that goes though headlight low beam bulbs all too frequently. I seem to be replacing them every 3 to 9 months - regardless of the type of brand I use (PIAA, Bosch, Sylvania).
I get the feeling the real problem is something else in the system. Any thoughts on what it is?
I have heard similar complaints from someone who owns an S60 Volvo.
I'd replace the light connectors. IPD USA sells them. Or it maybe a case of you touching the bulbs with your fingers. the oil on your hands will shorten the life of the bulbs considerably by the lens getting too hot and cracking.

Check the spade terminals at the rear of the bulbs as they heat up and break down.

Inside the glass lens of my 02 xc v70 the bulb fits inside a suspended metal tube that I didn't even know was there until I looked at it from the side one day and realized I had jammed the bulb on the side of this tube causing a shortened life. I had to stick my finger inside the hole the bulb goes in an straighten the tube before putting another one in...
