Question about 2005 Audi A4
Nothing but trouble with this 2005 audi a4 convertible. Numerous times in the shop, anything that could go wrong, did go wrong. A true lemon,
Has anyone else had this problem?
I've had this with an A4 2005 1.8 convertible. It was a £50 fix - one of the coils had snapped. Over the next 20 months 2 other - a known Audi porblem I am told. Am thinking of pre-emptively getting the last one replaced. The new coils are apparently better.

Guaranteed ignition coil failure. Take to your local centre as they are covered for 5 years/100,000 miles due to high failure rate.

These are extremely high maintanance vehicles. is the engine lite flashing or on solid? 1.8turbo? would suspect misfires in the engine. (scan for codes) spark plugs, ign. coils and poss ignition module are the first things that come to mind. euro's are fun to drive; nothing like it, however it does come with a price. everything seems to be over-engineered. just my opinion and experience.
