Question about 1999 Toyota Corolla
I have a 1999 Corolla and whenever I turn the key to start my car, the engine won't start. It doesn't turn the engine over, it just makes a "click" sound and then does nothing. It typically starts after 5-10 turns of the key. I think it is the starter, is that right?
Also, is it easy to replace yourself? I just called a Toyota dealer and they said it would be about $600 to fix it, which seems extremely over priced. Can I grab one from a junkyard and do it myself? Thanks!
I would take off your starter and take it to Autozone or somewhere else that will check it for free. It sounds like you may have a solenoid gone bad. If you dont want to that just goto a Junkyard and get you a starter and swap them and be done with it. Good luck to you,
