Question about 2002 Toyota ECHO
I feel like the door will not open because it is locked, but it will not unlock even when I manually unlock or lock the door. This problem began that I was not able to lock the door regardless if the locking mechanism was set in lock or unlock. I've tried looking at the car, but I'm uncertain about how to disassemble the door and wasn't sure if this was something I was even going to be capable of doing myself. It's just been very inconvenient because my two sons have to climb through the same door to sit in the backseat.
The lever in /on the door lock which is held on with a plastic clip has come off in the locked position ,from the sound of it so it will be beyond your capability to repair this, sometimes if you know the build then you can open it through the open window with the rubber strips and a nice metal coathanger .if not remove the seat and try to remove the door trim, not really a sunday mechanic type of job
