The belt is loosened and removed by loosening the power steering pump to relieve the tension of the belt to allow for removal.

Need to lossen the tension pulley to replace the serpitin belt

You will need to get a torc (I think that is how you spell it) wrench and a socket to fit the nut on the front of the pulley. Dont try to turn the nut like to unscrew it though. The wrench will will work like a lever to move it back and forth and it should take very little effort to move it.

Diagram for serpitine belt honda passport 2000

There should be a diagram on the front rail ..where you hood latches....unless someone has removed it...if it has been removed ..i'll try to find the diagram for it...i hope this helps...Keith
