Wont shift thru gears

I have a 93 saturn that seems to b stuck in 3rd. Reverse works fine but when i put it in drive 3 or 2 there is no difference. When i take off the trans seems to take for ever to get goin and from 0 to 55 it does not shift reachin up to 2500 rpm. Anyone wit ne idea please let me no thanks.

Double check the cables and grommets holding everything in place. If parts of the cable can move, the linkage on the transmission wont.

Check the fluid level in you slave cylinder. If the fluid is low or there is air in the system it can cause hard shifting. If everything is ok it is problably the syncros.

Take out your middle console and watch your shift cables as your shifting, you may have something stuck or maybe your shift cable bushing has broken. So i would just take the console out, and try shifting in all your gears. And then you will most likely find out what your problem is. :)) Good luck. Hope this helps. My 93 chevy truck wont shift into 3rd gear. goes into reverse fine 1st and 2nd gear with no problems and no slipping just wont go into 3rd whats the problem?

I say band adjustment in transmission, have done by shop. might be just a vacuum hose or modulator, but I don't think so

96 saturn sc transmission problem

Are you sure you are getting the right trans? There are 2 different based on sohc or dohc. The rpo codes are mp6 or mp7. The gear ratios are different and will set these codes.
