Yes I do have a mess JC. 1.) yes I do. I own a Fluke multimeter. I am a Certified Biomedical Equiptment Technician, I repair medical equipmnet in a hospital. 2.) I have a wiring diagram of the Ignition Switch. 3.) Most of the wires was in the alarm system. They opened the Black/White wire to the Starter and put it to a relay. I put that back together. The door lock system is fully functional. 4.) I believe that it is completely out. It had a main box, black (brain), a relay box mainly for locks Clear, a relay for the Ignition, a movement sensor Clear with LED, and a siren that was not hooked up. I hope you can help. Thanks Tim

I also tried putting 12 volts from the battery to both wires to starter. should it be ground? Tim

My car is also a 4 cyclinder 2200.

All the wires are there. They opened the Starter wire and put in a relay, I put it back together 1.) all the dash lights come on as normal, but nothing happens when you go to start it 2.) yes but it isn't on the column it is next to it.

The relay is removed and I have 12v on the starter wire. The EFI relay gets 12v when you try to start it. I don't have 12v to the starter. I'm tring to get a starting wiring diagram on the 18th.

I think I found something the starter relay behind the glove box is not getting 12V to pin 1, the ground pin 3 is good. That 12V goes through the Park/Neutral switch and to the black/white wire on the ignition switch. If I put 12V to the 10A starter fuse the starter does turn over. normally that 12V comes from the starter relay. I tested the Starter relay by applying 12V and Gnd to pins 1 & 3 repectfully, it worked. There must be an opened wire in there somewhere.

    Tim,

You have a mighty fine mess there. Lets start with the obvious things here. 1.) Do you know how to use a Volt/Ohm Meter? 2.) Do you need a wiring diagram for your car? 3.) Do you have all the wires hooked up and nothings happening? 4.) Is the aftermarket alarm completely uninstalled? Answer these and I assure you this is no easy task, but your not alone and we can do this.

    Sincerely,

    JC

Tim,

Feel free to email me directly at jmeyer@omniflight.com as well. There are 5 wires that I am concerned with here. 2 12V+ Wires (White and White/Red) 2 Ignition Wires (Black/Yellow and Black/Orange) and 1 Starter Wire (Black/White). The key here is gonna be alot of patience (no pun intended here). Email me at my email address with the answers to the following questions. 1.) When you turn the key what happends? 2.) The ignition key harness in the steering column easy to get too?

Sincerely,

JC

    Tim,

Is the relay still installed? Also, when you turn the key to the start position there should be +12V to the starter wire (Black/White). Do you get 12V there?

    Sincerely,

    JC

    Tim,

Are we getting 12V to the Starter Solenoid? If not you may want to check the fusable link. Next I would look to see if when you turned the key to the on position if you got +12V to the 2 ignition wires as well so we can eliminate those as well as the 2 +12V Battery wires in the ignition harness. Also I would check to see if when you turned the key that you got a12V at the Solenoid control wire at the starter.... Let me know what you come up with.

    Sincerely,

    JC

Aurora 4.0 im stumped checked starer relay and car still wont start clicking ssound comin from backseat jumped it whats wrong

What year vehicle ? The clicking sound you hear from bake seat is probably a relay ! There is a fuse / relay box under the back seat ! How did you check the starter relay ? Just pull it out an look at it ? Was it #36 START 1 Relay
-- Starter Solenoid and PCM in the under hood fuse / relay Box ?
This relay is computer energized - PCM supply's a ground to circuit 447 which energizes the relay sending voltage to the starter S terminal engaging the starter . Do you have a test light or a volt ohm meter ? If you pull out the starter relay an look on the bottom you will see some numbers , 85,86 an 30,87 . match them up to the holes they came out of . Check out this video on YouTube ,you can check for voltage an computer control . Is the SECRUITY light lit on the dash ?

My power seat stop working I can't find a fuse box in a 2007 h3 Hummer

Fuse box is under the hood. Black box about 11" x 8" Should say FUSES on top. top comes off and fuses and relays are inside. #61 is power seat fuse . Map of Fuse and relay numbers is on inside of top cover.

How to determane if my jeep has a after market alarm or a factory?

The factory alarm is tied into your ignition switch. Most newer vehicles have an anti start system incorporated into this in case it is broken into. The alarm will shut the system down and will not allow the vehicle to start. Look under the dash under the driver side and see if you can locate a small box. Should have a serial number barcode on it. If so it has a factory alarm.

I'm not getting power to starter, battery is ok, starter is ok. what could it be?

The hot wire to the starter comes from the starter relay. The relay has for pins numbered 30,85,86 87. 30 should have power at all times, this will put power to 87 when the relay is energized Now 85 is usually ground and 86 is the ignition wire. The ignition wire will be hot when you turn the key to the start position. Also in the fuse box the is a crank fuse 10amp. you will need to check this. You have one fuse/relay box under the hood and one under the back seat. I believe the fuse you are hunting for is under the seat. The seats come out one of two ways. first you has to push back on the front of the seat while pulling up where the passenger sits on both sides. Yours may have a latch on both side same place. check this out and let me knowIf you think the relay may be bad, just swap it with another one in the relay box. Of course replace it if it is.Randy

1995 chevy blazer turns over but dont start

Try to start it by cranking the engine for just a second (1) then turn ignition off, then again and if it starts on the third or fourth time you might look at the ignition switch behind your steering wheel. If you have an after market alarm you may want to make sure they did not tie into the ignition harness for the alarm during install, (very common) they cut into it then shove it under the dash. Hope this helps.

Alarm Problem

The green wire with the crimp needs to go away. This is the wire that allows the alarm computer to beep the horn when the system is activated.

The wires that go past the hood release is probably a power and a ground bolt. Pull up the rocker panel trim, and then pull off the kick panel. Some of those alarms used another connector over behind the kickpanel, and also, some had a "hood switch". All of the wiring needs to go away. You can cut the wires to the hood switch, if it has one.

Please get back to me if you need more assistance.
A FixYa rating would be greatly appreciated.
