Question about 1996 GMC Yukon
My third brake light works but i have no rear brake lights but ido have turn
signals.i have replaced the multi function switch and checked the fuses New starter---so car turns over well...it just will not start! I turned it over for 30 minutes one day and it finally started. It ran like a "top"!!! I let it sit for 2 days and tried to start it again and it turned over but would not start! I was afraid of burning out the starter trying too long...
The brake lights and turn signals use the same bulb, so it is not a ground problem. I suspect brake light fuse or the brake switch.
The brake and turn signal power both go through the turn signal switch. Be sure your hazzard switch is off.
Probably low fuel pressure. if filter change doesn't cure, check fuel pressure. Must be about 50 pounds to open injector valve.

did u check that they not burn?if not you should Check the wires going into the steering column if you don't have separate turn signal lights and brake lights because if they use the same bulb then the turn signal may be bad. If I remember correctly that particular car doesn't work this way, but I include it just in case.
