Question about 1996 Buick Roadmaster
I have a 1996 buick roadmaster limited. i just changed the fuel pump relay( the spark plugs, and air filter) about a week and a half ago because the car was not working. when i changed the relay it started working fine. last night i was driving home and was driving fine i was headed to the gas staion because it was almost empty and all of a sudden it died but all the electrical (lights, radio) stayed on. i thought it might be out of gas so i pulled in a parking lot and ran and got 2 gallons and it still wouldnt. i believe it might be the electric fuel pump because when it wasnt running before it made a noise under the hood on the drivers side when i tried to start it and i was going to change the fuel filter and had let some pressure out of the shrader valve and then some told me to try the fuel pump relay so i didnt get to change the fuel filter. now when i try to start it ,it does make that noise that it was making. could you please tell me where the fuel pump is located and is it a easy job to do it myself? if not a problem could you tell me how to change it? i appreciate any help.
The fuel pump is located in the fuel tank you have to remove the tank and then remove the fuel sending unit and the pump is on the fuel sender
