Question about 1994 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer

Wont start has fuel and has spark

I have a 94 v6 Vortec 4.3L so theres no throttle body or injectors i have replaced Throttle Positioning sensor, Ignition Coil, Plugs, Wires, Battery, Oil Change, Air Filter, Fuel Filter, and the Fuel Strainer.........i am stumped and i dont understand what else it could be.........please help need serious advice

    now im not getting any fuel at all i have purged the pressure relief valve and theres a tiny amount of aair coming out but no fuel....fuel pump is still operational could it still be the fuel pressure regulator?

    its reading at 70 PSI, then 69 PSI lastly 70 PSI from 3 attempts from turnover and again still no fuel getting to engine either, fuel pump sounds like its kicking on, can the fuel pump cause the Fuel Pressure to be too much PSI for the engine to start, like the pump doesnt have enough PSI to send the fuel to the engine but has enough after it passes through the Fuel Pressure Regulator ?

    my problem with a v6 vortec is my fuel is going through the combustion chamber and the motor runs but gas is going right into the oil pan, my oil level get very high,

    apparently the problem is with the fuel injectors; there is a part that is buried behind the exhaust manifold and under the engine.  Can this be "cleaned" and put back in, or will a replacement part be required?

    changed plugs and wires coil and stribader and fuel filter and still has a jerking when driving

Your problem is a leak in the cpi pletium most likely the pressure line has a leak
had same problem with mine $45.00 PRESSURE LINE KIT AND $15.00 GASKET FOR PLETIUM and 2 hours labor problem sovled.
You can remove vortec cover and remove air regulator to look inside pletium. I had gas vapor on driver side . that is where fuel lines are. fuel regulator is on passenger side. turn key on and look in hole and see where fuel is spraying. taking pletium off you can again turn key on and make sure where fuel is coming from.

It reads at 70 PSI and still wont turn over....still not getting fuel to engine

These vehicles are known to have problems with the fuel pressure regulator/and also fuel pump. you need to hook up a fuel press gauge to see how many lbs.ther are. being off 1-2 lbs.from spec will cause a no start that will drive you crazy.

Before going to the extreme of new computer i would check the crank angle sensor.With older cars there was a ignition distributor a mechanical part that physically triggered each spark plug when it needed to fire.That has been phased out so the crank angle sensors job is to inform the ecu of the rotational position of the engine to trigger the spark plug coils and injectors. These vortec engines are prone to leak fuel from fuel pressure regulators inside the intake manifold ,an from injector pop it valves . How to replace the spider injector on Cheyv motor 4 3 or 5 7 liter check out this guys video

Need help keeping idle

idling problems are usually created by a few things all attributable to the inlet manifold clean the earth behind the injectors. Spray soap and water around the gasket connecting the manifold to the head if it bubbles it leaks fix. Check all hoses are connected to the vacuum points around the throttle body if these are good , There are two points of idling controls at the throttle body electronic throttle positioning sensor located on the butterfly the other below this is the idle speed control sometimes the O-rings die around these and need to be replaced alternatively replace both . Check your fuel control valve , O-rings on this and the injectors create problems on the fuel rail

The Vortec 4.3 liter V6 is notorious for problems with the fuel injector.One injector solenoid feeds all 6 injector nozzles,and sometimes one whole side of the engine will not get any fuel.See if you can smooth out the engine by spraying some starting fluid into the throttle body(remove the rubber hose from the throttle body).If this doesn't seem to make a difference,you may just be dealing with an ignition problem(cap/rotor/wires/carbon tracks on the spark plug insulators).

Have the idle mixture motor replaced and clean the throttle body intake, throttle plate, and that throttle linkage you see on the side of the throttle body with throttle body cleaner. Also, dump some complete fuel system cleaner in your gas tank and fill it with premium for a change, you cheap bastard.

1992 vortec v6 motor getting spark and strong fuel pressure to motor but wont start, crank sensor is good ,motor tries to start when fuel poured into throttle body

the probem is probably in the injector assembly whichis under the intake plenum.after removing it you will se the plastic tubes and ijector popit valves unlike actual individual injectors.this whole contraption must be replaced as an can get repair manuals from this site or go to you may actually be flooding as these had problems with leaking fuel pressure regulators which i think are also only part of the whole assembly.

Throttle body injectors not fiering but there is fuel pressure

the injectors are fired thru the engine cotrol module but it gets its signal to fire from the pick-up located inside the distributor if you are loosing injector pulse only the ignition module is bad if you are also loosing spark when you loose injector pulse your pick up is causing the problem if you replace the pick-up i recomend you change the ignition module when doing so because they work together and you have to remove the distributor to change the pick-up

Engine wont fire until fuel is poured in throttle body

1993 s-10 should have a 4.3 engine. Your symptoms tell me your throttle body injector is clogged, and only allows so much fuel to pass through it. Therefore, on a idle there is not enough fuel coming through to keep the engine running, or to start it. If you replace the throttle body injector your issue should cease.

check your Throttle Positioning sensor that should fix your rough idle the TPS controls the breather on the front of the engine its affixed to the right hand side of the throttle body just infront of the spyder on the V6 Vortec 4.3L Models
