Question about 1991 Honda Accord
Last night my Accord stalled while driving it. I was able to restart and drive for an additional 10 miles before it completely stalled out. It wants to start, but as soon as I let go of the key it stalls. It has bright headlights and seems to have good power, which eliminates the alternator. If I hold the key in the on position it will start and respond to the gas peddle. I know this year had issues with the main relay. I need to figure out the next step to determine if it's and electrical or fuel issue. Any suggestions?
Hi, I think it is your main relay. It is a major problem when the car get really hot inside. One very hot day last july my 1991 accord wagon would not start. Left it sit till the next moring(cooler temp). It started right up. Check out rockauto.com. They have the cheapest $ on new main relays. sd
