You should try your oil pan gasket or your timing chain gasket cause that I'm taking mine to the shop to see what it is exactly buy I don't have the time to look at the leak exactly ill let you know what it is exactly though ok.
if anybody repairs it then they are going to have to go inside it which will cause them to have to rebuild it and the estimated cost for an foreign car transmission is about $1500+ dollars the for a down payment for something else or check your nearest salvage junk yard its the cheapest
IF THIS noise IS COMING FROM a WHEEL IT IS BRAKE PADS OR SHOES, If it is Coming from the TRANSMISSION It NEEDS to GO to A TRANS SHOP or Dealership as it would be an INTERNAL Fault.
Hope this Points you to the Problem !
I have done many the transmisson has to come out to replace it but your price is way out of line, should not be more than $400.00 give me a zip and I can get you a certified shop that can do it for less with a warrenty.
Brillo pad, maybe a 2" mirror on a wire or gimbal (dental mirrors are a little small), flashlight. The model and serial numbers are on the side, and if you managed to take the thing off, on the ring inside the gasket face attaching it to the engine. Or, remember the service history/ask it of a Nissan Certified shop.
First place to look is to make sure that when you move the shift lever, the shift arm on the transmission is also moving. If the cable between them breaks or streches, this will not happen...If you find that it dosen't move properly, change the cable! Hope this helps...likely anything else will be much more expensive!
