Need instructions to replace drivers side rear view mirror glass.

Outside Mirrors REMOVAL & INSTALLATION The mirrors on these models can be removed from the door without disassembling the door liner or other components. Both left and right outside mirrors may be either manual, manual remote (small lever on the inside to adjust the mirror) or electric remote. If the mirror glass is damaged, replacements may be available through your dealer or a reputable glass shop in your area. If the plastic housing is damaged or cracked, the entire unit will need to be replaced. Manual
  1. Remove the set screw and the adjustment knob, if equipped.
  2. Remove the delta cover; that's the triangular black inner cover. It can be removed with a blunt plastic or wooden tool. Don't use a metal prytool; the plastic will be marred.
  3. Fig. 1: Use a tapped ended tool to pry the trim from the mirror 89550g29.gif

  4. Depending on the style of mirror, there may be concealment plugs or other minor parts under the delta cover — remove them.
  5. Support the mirror housing from the outside and remove the three bolts or nuts holding the mirror to the door.
  6. Remove the mirror assembly.
  7. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  8. Power
    1. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Wait at least 90 seconds from the time the negative battery was disconnected to start work. CAUTION
Some models covered by this manual may be equipped with a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), which uses an air bag. Whenever working near any of the SRS components, such as the impact sensors, the air bag module, steering column and instrument panel, disable the SRS, as described in Section 6.
    2. Remove the delta cover; that's the triangular black inner cover. It can be removed with a blunt plastic or wooden tool. Don't use a metal prytool; the plastic will be marred.
  9. Depending on the style of mirror, there may be concealment plugs or other minor parts under the delta cover — remove them.
  10. Depending on the type of door trim, you may need to remove the door inner panel to access the electrical wiring harness for the mirror.
  11. Support the mirror housing from the outside and remove the three bolts or nuts holding the mirror to the door.
  12. If the wiring to the electric mirror was not disconnected previously, detach it now. Some connectors can only be reached after the mirror is free of the door. Remove the mirror assembly.
  13. Installation is the reverse of removal. Cycle the mirror several times to make sure that it works properly.

I need to replace the mirror glass on a 1994 camry driver side p

Start with a good thick pair of leather gloves, a putty knife, and a tall trash can. Place the trash can below the mirror, tilt the mirror inward so you get a hold of the outer edge, and carefully pry the remaining pieces of mirror from the backing plate. Do not apply any pressure directly to the backing plate, or you may damage the gears on the electric motor. You should be able to pick up a new mirror and adhesive at your local auto parts store. Use masking tape and a couple of wood blocks to hold the glass in place while the adhesive sets (blocks against the glass, then wrap the whole thing in tape).

Camry mirror ***'y

I routinely use recycled parts. I deal with several recyclers, and I have good luck with them. If a part comes in that is bad, they replace it for free. That being said, I would have no issue replacing the mirror with a used unit.
Japanese cars start the VIN with a "J", American production cars start with a "4".
I do not see where the difference would be, but, if you can find a used Japanese production mirror, go for it first. $215.00 is a realistic price, from the dealer. Used units are much, much cheaper.

Side view mirror assembly

Just looked at the same handle, I drive a '93 Camry...

Look at the handle. See the orange thing on the lock button?
Right above it, insert a flat screwdriver, and pry it down & out just a bit, this will defeat the lock tab
Do the same below the lock button, under the pull handle pivot. Pry up a bit. That whole side will be loose.
Once the 2 tabs are loose, pull it forward and out. Easy. Just don't pry too hard.

Power mirror assembly 1994 camry

You can ask as many questions as you want, Sir. That is what we are here for! No problem!

To answer your question, the connector for the mirror is behind the door panel, and it is difficult to unplug thru the side of the panel. I have already tried that years ago...
You could, if you want to, cut, splice and solder the wires, assuming that they are all of the same color, on both mirrors.

If you want, I can e-mail you a .pdf for the door panel removal procedure, FixYa is not set up to display .pdfs yet. Please advise.

The graciousness of FixYa ratings for this and the previous question would be greatly appreciated!

Procedure for removing door panel on passenger side 1994 camry

Sure.

Pull off the triangle thing.
On the door, at the front edge, there should be 2 plastic caps. Remove them. Under the caps there are screws. Remove them.
On the rear of the door panel, above the latch, are 2 round things, with a smaller round thing in the middle. Press on the inner round thing, and pull the pin assemblys out.
Do you have a light on the door panel at the bottom? If so, pry it out with a small screwdriver (it's just a "press-fit"), and remove the wire connector.
Under the arm-rest, remove the big phillips screw that is hidden, about an inch back from the outer edge of the panel. You will see the hole.
Under the arm rest, remove the tiny plastic trim cover, remove another big phillips screw.
Remove the door handle: Remove the phillips screw. Slide the handle forward or backward to release it from the door metal. Undo the clamp from the lock rod to the handle.
Remove any screws at the very bottom of the panel, if there are any.
Starting at the bottom of the panel. pull straight out, to defeat the plastic clamps tht holds the panel to the door metal. Once the panel is loose, pull it up a bit to remove it from the window opening retainer. Finally, inside the panel, unplug the wiring harness to the window switch assembly.

If you need any more info, please comment back. And, Thanks for the FIxYa.

Replace the passenger powered side view mirror assemby 1994 camry

You do need to pull the door panel off, as the wire from the mirror is plugged into the door harness under the middle of the door panel. The tringular plastic panel just pulls off, start at the top. There is no difference Japan vs USA production. The mirror is held on by 3 10 mm bolts behind the triangular plastic panel.
Hope this helps. The graciousness of a FixYa rating for my solution would be greatly appreciated.
