Either an air lock in system or thermostat faulty....you could remove faulty thermostat and warm air would get through eventually...or flush thru system and bleed

2001 Town and Country start to blow hot air then turns cold. Engine thermostat is where it should be.

This sounds like a failing heater core. You may be able to flush your coolant system using a garden hose and compressed air from an air compressor( if available). Doing this may dislodge any deposits that have built up overtime. You may also want to replace your thermostat.

The heater in my 2005 chrysler town and country mini van blows heat then turns cold

Make sure your radiator is full of coolant, if it is low the heater core cant get enough hot coolant in it to keep the air warm. If that's not the poroblem it could be a problem with your air exchanger that switches from hot to cold which could be a vaccume line leak. But I bet you're just low on Coolant.

Heater will not blow hot air until about 20 mins. after the van has been moving

Could be that the thermostat is stuck open or it was removed. FYI-How the thermostat works: Thermostat is closed when the engine is cold, after the engine reaches a certain temperature the thermostat is supposed to open to allow coolant from the radiator to the engine, if the thermostat fails it will either stay open or closed, so it may take sometime for the engine to heat up.Try that. Good Luck.

Heater blows only cold air in the front and back of the van

does it have a thermostat in it? It will blow cool air if there isnt one because it will not heat up your coolant to make the heat
