Question about 1988 Chevrolet K1500
I have an 88 chevy k1500 4x4 it wont start unless i put the gas pedal to the floor and when it does start it misses any help u might be able to give me is much appreciated thank you
A new switch is more like 65-100 dollars.

Throttle position switch, un plug it and disconnect the battery for a min then huck it back up, should reset, if not a new one is about 20 bucks, if it don't reset un plug it and try to start truck, prob have to hold down the pedal, and its not gonna idal...this may be your prob to start with (unplugged), if it starts run it for a min then reset every thing and try it out, it worked on my 88.

Too many possibilities without more info..check that carb linkage ok and choke is not stuck...check timing (does it have a labored pattern to cranking rhythm)...one plug/wire or other section of secondary ignition (cap/rotor) could be bad or weak
