    Have you tried READING the Owner's Manual?  Or is it just taking up space in your glove box?

    I too have a similar problem with my corolla. If you turn on the ignition key, wait for the dashboard lights to go off and then press the clutch and then try to start, it starts. Otherwise sometimes it won't start. What could be the problem?

- Clutch pedal safety switch maladjusted of defective.
- On the combination meter you will find a button. With the ignition switch on, press it many times to bring it to Trip A. Keep it pressing for 3 seconds and release when it turn down to zero

SOURCE: 2000 Toyota Tundra starts occassionally. Sometimes

Welcome to FixYa! You need to replace the starter solenoid contacts, or the starter itself.

Note that the starter is UNDER the intake manifold. This is a VERY difficult job, and is not recommended to those who do not have sufficient automotive experience.

If you DO remove the intake, you MUST replace the intake manifold gaskets, or your engine will not run properly, due to air leaks at the intake mating surfaces.

SOURCE: locked keys in 2007 Toyota Yaris; manual locks;

Three possibilities:
1. Call a service that can unlock your car (there are a BUNCH of these)
2. Buy a slim jim and unlock the car with that
3. Go to the dealer with the title to your car, or some proof of ownership, and they can cut you a new key.

Hope this was a little help,
matt

SOURCE: can not lock car by key remote . toyota rav 4 53 plate

If your car has an alarm with a separate remote, it is a separate system and it is probably self-arming. When you lock the doors with the key central lock, the alarm gets armed by the RAV4 being OFF and the door locking action. When you unlock the doors with the key, the alarm is still armed because the key is not comunicating with the alarm just the cars factory keyless system.

Car sometimes wont start even if just turned off replaced starter motor and ignition barrel

Try starting it with the shift lever in neutral, if it starts, the transmission switch is bad (automatics), or with the key to start position move the shift lever thru the range of gears. If a stick shift and the clutch pedal must be pressed down, the clutch switch may be going out if intermittent starts

I just got a toyota yaris 2 days ago the maintaince required light is on and all the fluids are full and the oil has just been changed

It's in the owner's manual, how to reset that maintenance required light. Also below;

Have your key in the ignition, but off. Well make sure its at trip A before you start this.

Next, press the button, but leave it pressed....
Now put the car into the "on" position....
The indicator will show a bar like it was counting down, wait till that finishes and it all starts to show 0000miles or whatever it is. And let go.

Your done.

Vehicle doesnt start, lights power window on but no ignition

If it is a manual transmission. Make sure you press the clutch all the way to the floor. Toyota has this safety feature to prevent children from starting the car.

1990 Toyota Camry transmission won't go into any gear

you didn't make clear you have a automatic trasmission or manual?
if is a manual trasmission you have to look the clutch and to valves that is puting the trasmision oil pressure to move the clutch one at the end near the gear box and the second after the clutch pedal outside of the cabin imediatley after the pedal. you have to look to the oil level in the rezervoir, if you dont have the problem to bay some oil and to change completely the oil first maybe the right solution to begin with oil change first , may be is freeze from the dirties finded in the oil pipes and valves.
if you have the automatic trasmission sorry i dont know, because the problems there are more complex.

Grinding sound on pressing clutch in at high revs

The grinding sound may be a throw out bearing or the pilot bearing. The sticking throttle problem sounds like a linkage or cable binding up from possibly damage due to the impact from the accident.

What do the settings S-D and plus minus on trasmission shifter m

The plus and the minus allows you to "manually" shift the automatic transmission; sort of like a manual transmission, without a clutch......minus = downshift, + = upshift.
Just put it in "D" and drive on.
