Mileage?..over heated? oil to top is function of oil pump and oil passageways ..bad worn lower engine (crankshaft/bearings)......oil pump push rod..under distributor driven gear down into block to oil pump in oil pan..clogged passages/oil filter/oil filter bypass...... do a oil pressure test while cranking from port on side of block low and determine if bottom end has the pressure first

Where is the oil pressure/fuel pump switch located on a 1994 chevy blazer s10

I will assume this is a 4.3 engine, the oil pressure /fuel switch is located on the rear of the engine next to distributor, what is the problem?

Is there a reset button on this fuel pump

CHEVY DOESN'T USE A FUEL PUMP RESET/CUTOFF SWITCH, FORDS USE THIS FEATURE, ON A CHEVY IT IS DONE WITH THE OIL PRESSURE CUTOFF SWITCH, SO IF U LOOSE OIL PRESSURE THE FUEL PUMP CUTS OFF, THIS OIL PRESSURE FUEL PUMP CUTOFF SWITCH AND IT'S WIRING ARE NEAR THE OIL FUILTER UNDER THE TRUCK.

I have a 1997 Chevy Blazer that has oil, but no pressure

There's something you can do to check if the oil pump is still working screw off the oil filter and start it only for a few seconds if oil shoots out the pump is working if it doesn't the pump could be clogged or it lose prime if it's working check the wire going to the oil pressure switch may be broken.

1991 chevy S10 blazer fluctuating oil pressure

I assume from the year it has high mileage. With mileage comes wear in these engine's bearings allowing oil pressure to drop because of the excess clearance between cam and bearings, also the crank and bearings. When the engine is hot and idling the oil is thinner and goes by the bearings quicker. If you have good oil pressure while driving, I'd leave it alone, maybe use a thicker oil or some lucas additive. My 89 does the same thing sometimes in the summer, but don't remember it doing it this summer. I use Mobil-1 and an AC Delco filter.

1999 chevy blazer wont start

THE FUEL PUMP IS BAD.

if your losing fuel pressure after the pump runs the drain back valve in the pump has failed.

and i doubt that you are seeing enough fuel pressure to run a vortec engine.

low fuel pressure equals a non running vortec

Oil pressure

At idle the oil pressure should be at least 20# at highway speed it should be at least 30# these pressures are on the low end higher is better.
