There are no wires on this vehicle. i believe each spark plug has its own coil bolted on top of each plug

Where are the spark plugs located at on the 2000 Mazda MPV 2.5l engine

There is a coil pack on top of the engine with 6 black pulg wires coming out. The spark plugs are at the other ends of those 6 wires. You have to pull the boots up off the plugs to see them.

I have a mazda mpv 2000 minivan.problem code p0301 misfire detected cylinder#1

I'd check #1 spark plug.
Usually a misfire code "fix" is a spark plug, spark plug wire, or a coil pack / distributor.
Keeping it simple...I'd go with the spark plug first and then look at the condition of the wires.

Hope this helps...

Can't Find the spark plugs

pull of the engine covers if so equipped, the plugs each have there own ignition coil, they are held in position by a single retainer, remove the coils to access the plugs. see photo of coil

Spark plugs

pull one plug at a time and put the wire on it. set it off to the side and have someone turn the car over. if the plug sparks its good. of not its bad. my suggestion is replace all plugs. maybe 20$ worth of parts.
