Question about 2003 Ford E150

1 Answer

I need to reconnect my alternator.

On my 81 Ford Econoline e150 I replaced the altenator in doing so I
broke two of the wires that interface with the alternator.I put spade
connectors on the two wires. Now I'm not sure where the three wire's
reconnect too.They are coloered:white, black/red & orange-red.
Again it is a 81 Ford econoline e150.
Thank you.

Your wiring diagram shows a fusible link between the battery and alternator. Also shows an optional voltage regulator. Trace the wire from the alternator back to the battery. Look for that fuse and regulator. I will paste the diagram below.

Will not charge battery, altenator and regulator

is the battery light on with the key on, engine off? if not.... it should be. if not, one of the small wires is the ground for the bulb. if the bulb is burned out, it wont charge....The large wire should have 12volts. What is the voltage at the battery when running?

I suggest checking out the website and register the vehicle. It doesn't cost anything and will give you access to an online repair manual. The steps for replacing the alternator should be available there. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Brake and turn signal lights stopped working on my 1996 Ford E150

You might have cut a wire or it could have broken or disconnected. Try tracing the wiring where you hooked up the trailer you may find one broken or disconnected.

Need to replace the heater core

Under the dash for sure, but you may need to drop the whole box and may be mounted with bolts from the engine compartment. You will need to disconnect the hoses from the core from under the hood
