2007 Ford F150 I cannot unlock door to get into truck
When we pruchased the truck used, the door lock was jammed and has never been fixed. This has not been a problem as we use the keyless entry FOB to unlock and enter vehicle. However, this morning neither of the two FOBs we have would unlock the door. The driver door is the only way to unlock door with key and as this is jammed we can not enter truck. Also, the the truck has a combination pad on door to unlock it BUT we were never given the combination. HELP!!!

Did you check the fuse for the PDL ? This is engine compartment Fuse #8. If this is with Either button or the RKE ( if installed ), remove the door panel, and check the lock actuator. If you want instructions on removing the door, I recommend using Muth Co's signal mirror install directions : www.kwmuth.com. Enter your make & MY, on the product page is a URL to the mirror install directions in PDF, obviously only follow the directions to the point of removing the door panel.,
Once you have the door panel off, apply DC power to the lock, one direction is lock, reverse polarity is unlock.
use the fob and keep clicking unlock/lock button see if everything is moving.then try banging outside of the door about 6 inches from door handle while pressing unlock.has worked on some other cars like vw audi and vauxhall
The lock is manuvered by pulling on the inside door release or pulling the lockknob up. Yes they work in conjunction with each other. If you disconnect the link to the release handle the door will no longer unlock with the handle but will still open(unlock) with the key and the knob.
I had almost the identical problem on my 2005 F150 FX4 Extended cab last weekend. The power door locks would not lock using the keypad, remotes, or door buttons. Almost all other functions worked correctly. The doors unlocked, the radio delay functioned, and the interior lights dimmed. When I used the remote the horn would beep twice indicating that a door was open even there was no message on the message center that a door was open. When I used the keypad or remote, I could hear a soft click from behind the seat. I think it was coming from the body security module or body security module - whatever Ford is calling it this year. I pulled the fuse for the Power Door Locks(BSM). As I removed it, I heard a soft click - sort of like a relay resetting. It may have come from the VSM/BSM. It may have possibly been a stuck actuator releasing. I don't think so. It wasn't that load. In any case, everything is functioning correctly now.
