AC blows hot, I've boiled it down to being a common problem with this generation expeditions as well as explorers, the door inside the dash that switches you hot air to ac is probable stuck, that can be caused by the solenoid below the dash or the the door just plain being seized, good luck mine was the solenoid I just removed it and manualy slid the door. The solenoid job typicaly will cost around 600 bucks with a mechanic if you can change it yourself the part runs 200 to 400 bucks unless you can find a working one at a salvage yard.

Rick, u will need to take your car to get serviced. If your ac is not working properly it might be something inside that needs to be looked at. You might need to replace your heater box.

I have a 2001 expedition and the front vents blow hot air with ac on.back vents blow cold so i know its charged and compressor works.what can it be?

Check the blend doors found deep in the air duct underneath the dashboard. There may be loose linkages or the motor may not be working.

When i turn on ac i get nothing but hot air in the front but the rear vents give out cold air

Hey! The ol' Exped. Ok these things have two ac systems. One for the rear and the front. You will need an ac preformance test ont eh front to be more diagnostic.

Have a 2000 ford expedition and the ac in the front blows hot but the rear ac works fine. what could it be

Listen and see if the vent flap is moving from the hot position, to the cold position. If that's working then the evaporator may be clogged. It sits inside the same box that the heater core is inside of and if it becomes clogged with hair or dust, then it wont allow the blower to blow through it. But it would then bring hot air through the vents because the heater core is there too.
