There should be a panel under the glove box with a few screws. Remove the panel and replace the filters.

I have 2004 yukon xl could not find cabin filter behind glove box. the manuel has picture of door opening fo filter, but my yukon has no door nor seam for that matter.

Cabin filter where installed as an option when the vehicle was manufactured. If you don't see an opening than yours is likely one that does not have that option. 99% of them do not have a cabin filter.

Does my 2004 gmc yukon xl (slt model) have a cabin air filter?

Yes you do! It will run you about $20 for a good one. I prefer Napa or Advanced. Its located behind the glovebox and should not be that hard to replace.

How to change cabin air filter on 2003 Yukon xl 1500

{: ) The a/c air filter is located below the glovebox. Looking from beneath, you will find the front blower motor, next to left is the blower resistor, and then next to its left you'll find a long rectangular cover screwed at both ends. Remove the screws then the cover. Pull and slide the air filter out of the HVAC slot and note the original positioning, so you wont be lost when you insert the new air filter.

K&N Air Filter Replacement with Regular Air Filter Kit for 2002 Yukon Denali XL

I don't suggest K&N filters for any vehicle with a mass air flow sensor. The K&N filter is oil impregnated and can cause damage to sensors. Its better just to buy a ac delco replacement.

Since I purchased my 2000 GMC Yukon XL 1500 we have had a water leak that soaks the drivers side floor and passenger floor behind the drivers seat. I took it to my GMC dealer and they had it two days and...

You may be right about the sun roof. It should have 4 tubes to drain water that comes in around the glass. Sometimes the tubes fall off letting the water come into the cabin. The horn may be the part in the wheel. Apply it at different angles and it might start working. Sometimes they get rusty. I think your cabin filter would be under the hood near the firewall on the passenger side with a plastic cover.
