Question about 1995 GMC Jimmy
1995 gmc jimmy 4.3liter, cyls 2,4,6 the plugs are fouled and runs rough at idle and lopes, also the smell of fumes. I have tuned it up,change the ox senor, did vacuum test, and compression test all cyls. 100lbs and egr ok. please help
Those 4.3L's have a Central Port Fuel Injection system with one injector in the middle of the intake under the plenum, they are good for either the fuel pressure regulator or the plastic lines (that are inside the intake that feed the injector) leaking inside and flooding the intake with fuel. The best way to tell is to take the plenum off and thurn the key to prime the fuel pump and watch for leaks.

Best diagnostic would be a air care test / checking for air quality out the tail pipe emmisions /hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide and nitrous of oxide..... nox will be a catalitic convertor or combustion chamber full of deposits of carbon//or over advanced ignition ;egr valve . CO a hose or gasket,, co excessive is related to fuel management , defective in fuel injector or a combo of hc and co as computer ecm works in effect with o2 sensor to adjust fuel trim , check the data live in obd a engine coolant temperature switch defective would example -35 c telling ecm it is cold when really is warm sending more fuel thus engine performance poor and rough drivability stalling miss fire ,flat spots and global warming,// pollution

May need some more info. how did you do vacuum test? those cyl. being on the same side of engine may indicate an intake leak or more severely a headgasket problem. if you spary carb cleaner around intake gaskets while engine running, is there a change?
