I just replaced the window regulator in my deville.Mine was doing the same thing.I found the part online for 35.00.You have to take the door panel off and remove the regulator. That's the metal track that holds the window in place.Once you get inside you disconnect the motor and then the regulator. It is held on by three bolts.Unbolt it from the window (there is two bolts for that)and take out the regulator.Install the new one the same way you took it out and reconnect the motor.Test it before putting it back together. When you unbolt the window and take out the regulator be careful. The window will fall down into the door when you take the two bolts out that hold the window. It's good to have someone with you,but you can do it yourself. The hardest part is getting the door panel off. There is 8 or 9 clips around the door from the sides to the bottom. There are 2 screws in the armrest and one underneath the door handle.be patient and good luck.

My driver side window went crashing down this morning. The motor still works. I can hear it, but the window will not go up and down.

Sounds like the window fell off the track. You will need to pull off the door panel and place the window back on the track.

The window came off the tracks. You will need to take the inner door panel off and get to the window track and put the window back in the track.

there is about 3 rivets that you have to cut off, that holds the window motor and regulator to the tailgate, then shift the window back and forth to get the track slides to slide out then pull the window out slowly,it will catch when its almost out so be careful.

Electric Window problem

It sounds like the regulator or track is lined up properly.

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Pull back the weather seal and you'll see everything

My rear window is stuck down in my 1989 k5 blazer.

If you can hear the motor turning but window is not moving, then the window most likely came off it's track. You will have to remove screws and pry off the door panel and replace window on track

Power window

there is a little plastic peace that rides on the inside track ,at the bottom of the window, its probably broke.Beware taking off the door panel is a pain, anyways, there is an arm that is attached to the motor ,with a ball on it & hard to see,you will have to constuct your own part because umm... you will not be able to find that part at a junkyard. So, look at the door itself and pop off one of the plastic pieces that you screw the door panel on with. Pop it out and drill a hole larger to fit the arm on the motor. The piece will slide into the bottom of the track of the window, it will fit like a glove
