The rear problem with a 1999 gmc sierra truck

I have a 99 sierra pick up truck with a extended cab. Recently my truck started to make a strange noise in the rear of the truck. When I make a left or right turn, it throughs its self out of the drive gear but i can put it in reverse just fine. It a automatic transmission also. When im driving down a straight a way I have no problems but when I make a left or right turn that's when the problems starts.

Please help, Cedric

Do you know if you have a limited slip rear diff?
if you do your grease is worn out or if the fluid was replaced it need to have a friction modifier put in the diff (can be found at any auto part stores.)

if its not a limited slip diff you might have spider gears going bad. then you need to remove the cover on the diff and inspect your spider gearsThe rear problem with a 1999 gmc sierra truck - 2f73bce.jpg b440737.jpganThe rear problem with a 1999 gmc sierra truck - b87d88d.jpg the spider gears
