I have been fighting this truck for 3 years and getting close but no cigar. EVAP code 1447 sucks ( does not pinpoint problem ) It started with charcoal canister explosion(Thanks nissan) .I cleaned the lines, checked the pressure sensor, it was giving a bad reading so I changed it . All of the solenoids have passed the component checks .also canister vent valve /solenoid works as advertised. all electrical has been checked , voltage & to the computer. I even gave nissan a chance( for a month) and they just changed a O2 sensor and the evap metering solenoid (which didn;t need to be changed and didn't solve the problem). I did break the evap vacuum cut valve while I was working on it today ,so I decided to check it since it was out, and it failed , but solenoid for this valve checks out ok.

older nissan? evap canister purge fault. check for loose or rotten/disconnected vacuum hoses before testing the vapor canister purge valve.
The charcoal canisters also clog up. Do some diagnosing before you go changing parts.
The IAT sensor is located in the air filter case on top of the throttle body. If you remove the air filter you can see it on the left side of the case on the bottom. It connects from underneath and the connector can easily be damaged if you are not careful when removing the lower part of the air filter housing from the throttle body. If you replaced the MAP sensor you may have damaged the connector or pulled a wire loose.
If your evap canister has ruptured then your evap lines will be full of carbon pellets. You will need to disconnect each end (evap canister line towards front) and evap canister purge line towards the rear and blow out these lines with compressed air. Once they are clear replace the evap canister and check the vacuum canister cut/bypass valve as described in the link. If you fix this your self you will save close to $1000 as opposed to what a dealer would charge to fix this problem.
EVAP canister vent control valve is damaged or has failed.EVAP canister vent control valve rubber tube is blocked.EVAP control system pressure sensor is damaged or has failed.EVAP water separator is damaged or has failed.EVAP canister is saturated with water.Click here to see the suspected parts to check out.
this fault code would indicate you have a large evap system leak.most often sets from a fuel cap not secured.since thats not the case i would bet its the vent control valve on the evap canister sticking open.evap leaks can actually be cheaper to fix if taken to a pro or dealer with bidirectional scan tool and smoke machine to pinpoint leak.the darts get fairly expensive on evap codes.if it turns out to be the valve expect about 250.0 0for diagnosis, the part and the repair. let me know how it turns out.
I have fix this problem before it was my boss truck the problem was with the intake leak it was sucking air trow the intake try get a piece or hose and get close to the intake and see if your heard some sucking noise and also I did replaced the mass air flow sensor was bad and is on top of the electronic carburator injectors but when the air flow sensor is bad your truck don't seems to be stable at low rpm's and they do the same thing with an intake air leak so look for those 2 problems you may have only 1 of this cyntom but 1 is enough
I have been working on a 96 nissan truck for three years for an evap code and swirl control , I finally just made sure the swirl control solenoid operated properly then disconnected the vacuum hose from the swirl control actuator and plugged it . code fixed.been driving 3 months, no code
