2005 ford expediton 6 disc cd changer

I just put in a new battery a week ago and now my cd changer doesn't work. All six slots are full but when I try to eject or load cd it reads no cd, I pressed # 3 and #5 on the radio at the same time and it reads cd disable.

I had the exact same thing happen to my 2005 Expedition last week. The truck wouln't start. Had to have the battery charged and the cd player went "haywire" It has 6 cds in it and says there are no cd's. When I go to eject or load it says "load error" Did anyone find a solution for you? Please let me know. I would really appreciate it.

I had the same exact thing happen to my radio after my 2005 expedition wouldn't start 5mos ago. The cd player went haywire and now 6 cd's are stuck in there. Have already tried disconnecting the battery several times. I really wish someone would post a solution-I hate to buy another stereo.

Cd player won't eject the cd out

I don't know exactly how to tell you to fix this problem. I'm not sure if you have just the single disc cd player or the 6 disc cd changer. I just had this same problem a couple months ago. I put my disc changer in one day and it just decided it didn't want to play or eject. I have no clue what caused that to happen. It was stuck in there for about a month and then my Explorer died on me one day. I had to get a new battery. I hooked the new battery up and then out popped the disc changer. I am still not positive if that was the problem but it could possibly have been caused from the battery not having enough juice to fully power it enough to eject it. I'm not sure if that might help you out any but I figured it's worth a shot, ya never know. Well, good luck!

I would try to repower it, remove power from the changer and see if it resets, if it still doesnt work then try turning off the power button and see if that helps.

I changed the battery in my 05 dodge caravan and now the cd changer doesn't work.it ''gears'' up when you turn on the power but the mode button only recognizes am and fm and not cd any fix?

sounds like a bad radio that shouldnt happen bttery has no effect on changer opperation if the radio powers up the changer should work as long as its a factory radio w an internal six disc changer.
