WHAT kind of brakes are on front?

Pending on the Yr Make & model, look through rim. If you see a flat/ shiny, silver surface & 1/2 of it has a brake pad & "caliper" holding them in place you have front disc pads Most newer models have disc pads all around or discs in the front & drum brakes in the rear pend on the year. ck w/ dealer about type of as in, ceramic, metallic or semi-metallic.PS If you don't see brakes pads at all just a steel round "DRUM" (it's called) you have drum brakes. Usually on light trucks & higher. Most today are pads w/ ceramic or semi metallic. Call the dealer with the VIN #. Good Luck Frank M

Asking which kind of brake in back rear driver makes a lot a nois

You have brake rotors and pads on the front. Looking on the rear axle if it looks like the front it will be rear rotor and pads. And if you cannot see the rotor or pads on the rear axle then you will have what is called rear drums and brake shoes. Hope this will help you.

I need to know what should I take care of 1st with my car. It needs the following; rear shocks battery hold down tran fluid flush brake flush cap rotoe wire need replacement feul systme flush drive blets...

Sounds like you have been talking to a very aggressive sales person!! Assuming the car is running halfway ok, & without seeing the condition of anything the most critical in terms of breakdown are:

  • belts
  • brakes
  • battery hold down
  • cap, rotor, wires, spark plug
  • trans, brake & fuel flush(by the way..no where in your maintenance manual does your car call for flushes of any kind!!) Go by what it says in your book

What kind of rear breaks do I need on my 2003 mitsubishi outlander

The rear brakes are the same drum & brake shoe type.
Each rear wheel has a brake drum that rotates with the wheel. When the brakes are applied, a brake shoe is forced into contact with the brake drum to slow wheel rotation...........................sodeep

Rear breaks on 2007 caliber

It's hammer time! Give it a few cracks around the face, 12:00 then 6:00 then 3:00 then 9:00. If it's not off by then your not hitting it hard enough.

BRAKE LIGHTS STAY ON, 1994 HONDA ACCORD

Hi,

If you are referring to the "brake lights" at the rear of the Accord, then it would be the brakelight switch mounted on top of the brake pedal that needs checking. It is most likely shorted. There are instances that the wires/connectors might also require checking over while at times, it could just be a spring missing.

If on the other hand, you are referring to the brake indicator in the dashboard, then that signifies that your brake fluid level in the reservoir is getting low and would require topping. It could also indicate that some of your brake pads are getting thin.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Brake lights

Hi,

Usual suspects would be:
1. bulbs;
2. brake light switch;
3. rear harness connector;
4. loose grounding of rear lights assembly.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
