Question about 1989 Ford Tempo
The car is running fine and out of nowhere will start surging like it is not getting gas. It may last a few minutes or more. It will then start running fine and may start up again, especially if at a light stopped. It seems the more you step on the gas the more it bogs down. It even happens when going 70 mph. When this happens it will stall at a light. We put a new filter in but still did it again. We are trying fuel injection cleaner and dry gas. Any other suggestions? Thank you, Ron
When i had this problem i had many vacuum leaks and a bad vacuum switching valve
i put in new vacuum lines they were inexpensive and went to the junk yard for another valve you can go to the auto parts store and ask to see one first this fixed my problem
