Question about 1997 Mercury Mountaineer
The location of the PCV valve in the Mountaineer
If the engine is a 4.6L the pcv will be on top and in middle of pass side valve cover.pull to remove.
if the engine is a 4.0L the pcv is located at the rear(firewall) of drivers side valve cover.this pcv has lock tabs holding it in,turn then pull to remove,the lock tabs are part of the valve cover so take care when removing not to harm tabs.
