Question about 2000 Lexus Gs 400

1 Answer

D/S Power lock won't lock or unlock when button pushed.

I hear the box inside clicking and had the door panel off and felt on it. When I push the button, I feel it flinch but it won't pull the cable to unlock the door. It started slowly going out but is now all the way out. Going to take the wiring harnesses out and clean them out and reinsert them. If that don't work I figure it might be time for a new junction box. Can you please help? 2000 Lexus GS400

Check to see if you have a broken wire in the door by wiggling then around and clicking the button if not remove the doorpanel and use a jumper wire with a 12 volt source and see if the lock actuated if not replace the actuator

thier really is no other option.. thier are plastic clips that hold the linkage together.. it's common for those to break.. so the panel has to come off.

It sounds like the door lock actuator motors are jammed from corrosion, you will need to remove the door panels and replace the door lock actuators.

Driver side lock

the solenoid may be weak, or it can be lubed. you will need to remove the door panel and see how it works, and try to lube it, or see if there is any binding.

Ready remote Brand after market keyless entry remote start the Door lock /Unlock feature wont work when the button is pushed i can hear the unit beep but nothing happens at all all other features work...

that is because the push button pad is broken inside the remote box unit or either it is not making contact with the switch in the alarm remote. may need to replace the push button remote box.

Power door locks going crazy

One of your door lock inside switches are bad.Find the one that doesn't feel right when you push it in either lock or unlock. The internal spring is broke causing the lock relay to keep try to lock or unlock until it gets hot & protects.
