2006 Cadillac STS. Adsptive cruise control. Error message reapeatedly every few miles. " radsr cruise not ready"

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) System Description
The Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) System depends on various modules on the vehicle to function and each module performs a function that is critical to the proper operation of the ACC System. ACC will not operate if any components fail. Communication between modules is via the High-Speed GMLAN serial data circuit. The instrument panel module (IPM) provides a translating gateway function for the GMLAN serial data links. The GMLAN utilizes the controller area network (CAN) communications protocol. The following is a functional description of the distance sensing cruise control (DSCC) module and the other associated components:

What is a manufactures body code?

Many trouble codes are "manufacturer specific" - the actual code description only applies to that manufacturer. There are 3 or 4 varieties of codes- the best known are P codes meaning "powertrain" codes (related to the engine and drive train). Some are B codes, or body codes, and when you have a Body Control Module, or BCM, a small computer that controls interior electrical circuits and systems (like lights, door locks, etc.), the codes will be stored in the BCM, although the communication between the BCM and the vehicle's main computer-the PCM (powertrain control module) will let the codes be transmitted between them. That is why the main computer can display all codes on the vehicle, whether P codes, B codes, C codes (related to ABS system), or U codes (related to communication links between the modules.

I have an 04 Hyundai Elantra GT that throws a OBD2 code p2195 and p1166. What do I do to fix these error codes? And is it as simple as changing the Upstream O2 sensor? Thank you

Probly not..sensors should only b replacd if heating element bad. Changing other items must b done w caution unless theyr cheap. A scan w a vehicle specific or factorytool will direct u whats occuring. Only honest private shops havthem. Partstore scanners dont suffice

Engine management light on on Honda civic 2.2 ictd

Hello
When the service engine soon light a yellow light (Also called the check engine light or engine management light) is turned on this is to alert you to the fact that Powertrain Control Module (computer) has detected a failure somewhere in the systems it controls you may not feel any difference in the way the engine runs, this can be the transmission or the engine or emission system, there are fault codes set in the modules memory for these faults. What needs to happen now is to have the powertrain control module scanned with a special tool called an OBD2 electronic engine control scanner or a OBD2 code reader. Once the code(s) are read then you must perform the diagnostics for each code and make the appropriate repairs based on the findings of the diagnosis that was performed, this is called doing "Pinpoint" testing.

What is code p1166

Trouble Code: P1166
HO2S-11 Controller Adaptive Test (Bank 1)
Trouble Code Conditions: Engine started, engine running in closed loop for 2-3 minutes, and the PCM detected the Short Term fuel trim was less than -12.5% or more than +12.5%; or it detected the Long Term fuel trim value was less than -12.5%, or more than +22.4% for 5-10 seconds in the test.
Possible Causes:

Air leaks after the MAF sensor, or in the EGR or PCV system Base engine "mechanical" fault affecting one or more cylinders Exhaust leaks located in front of the A/FS or HO2S location Fuel control sensor is out of calibration (i.e., ECT, IAT or MAP) Fuel delivery system supplying too little fuel during cruise or idle periods (e.g., faulty fuel pump or dirty, restricted fuel filter) Fuel injector (one or more) dirty or pressure regulator has failed HO2S is contaminated, deteriorated or it has failed Vehicle driven low on fuel or until it ran out of fuel
