Question about 1997 Hyundai Accent
Engine normally runs okay, but - If car run then stopped i.e. engine warm, when I start it again the engine loses power ('chugs') when i take my foot off the accelerator and when i first put it back on. I can accelerate through the problem, i.e. put my foot down further and it smoothes out and drives okay until the next time I take pressure off the acclerator etc.
The car started doing this after it went in for a basic dealer service, they say it's nothing they've done and checked it over saying they could not find any faults. the 'check engine' message does not come on, so their diagnostics don't work. Later i found the air inlet temperature sensor bulb was not fitted into the air filter housing (presumably done during the service) but hanging on its wire loose in the engine compartment. i put the sensor back in and it deed seem better but the problem does re-occur from time to time.
Could it be the non-refitted sensor upset the fuel injection computer? What else could it be? How can I get thsi probelm fixed? Help!
The first step check the spark wires and sparks the correct gap of theses sparks is 1.0-1.1mm
