Question about 1984 Oldsmobile Delta 88

Blinker Lights not working properly

The lights don't seem to be working on the side of the car when making a turn, so it makes it very difficult to see where the car is heading.
Are the blinker lights supposed to come on - on the sides to illuminate your turning angle?

One side of the lights work but the other side of the blinker and hazards wont turn on and it isn't the fuses

Possibly damaged the power cables to lights. Inspect for any bare wire showing near to impact point. Either replace or seal with proper electrical tape making sure that you overlap the tape well.

Turn signal failure

The bulbs all have to be good for the flasher to work. The flasher is under the dash, driver side. When you turn on a blinker, do you hear it clicking under the dash. If the turn light is on , on the dash , but not flashing, then a bulb is probably bad on that side. Leave the blinker on and walk around the vehicle to check the lights. Flip the blinker to the other side and walk around the vehicle again checking lights. If all the lights are lit, but not blinking, then the flasher is most likely bad.

Turn signal blinker problem. They work properky

sounds like wiring.or there may be a plate in the steering wheel.the plate in the steering wheel seems more plausible because wiring on both sides is less likely.it wouldn't hurt to check the wiring as far as you can to the rears though.any brake lights work?

Where is the flasher relay unit

1ST double check that all the bulbs for the pass. side turn signals are working. if even one is out it can make the blinker not "blink". so compare the pass. side lights to the driv. side to make sure u did not miss something. NEXT,if thats not the problem, then u can locate the flasher by 1ST looking in the fuse box(probably inside the glove box or under the drivers side dash) theres a good chance it might not be there(years ago every car had the flasher in the fuse box) SO TURN ON THE DRIVERS SIDE BLINKER (key on) and LISTEN OR FEEL UNDER THE DASH FOR THE FLASHERS NOISE--LOOK NEAR THE STEERING COLUMN,BRAKE PEDAL, EVEN BEHIND THE ASH TRAY!! hope this helps you!
