I am having problems with having taillights if my headlights are one. I replaced the bulbs and they worked fine for about two weeks and I started having the same problems all over again. Any suggestions on how to fix?

Replace the tail light assemblies. The get hot and melt. This is a common Jeep GC issue.

More than likely the back part of the light where the the three bulbs are is burnt out i had the same problem i ended up buying aftermarket tailight assemblies after buying a million bulbs. since i put the new taillights in i havent had the problem since and they work just fine and its been going on 2 years

SOURCE: 2000 Grand Jeep Cherokee Laredo both brake lights

try replacing the sockets in the tailights/brake lights. worked for me. $10 each. i had to replace all of mine because just replacing the brake sockets didn't solve the problem on the right side. you can test it by exchanging tail light for brake light socket and if that works you know it is the socket

SOURCE: Would a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo engine fit...

The actual engine assembly will fit but you need to determine if there were any changes made between the two years in the computer or wiring harness. Also make sure that both engines have the exact same transmissions as sometimes the bellhousing patterns are different.
I'm pretty sure yours is a direct replacement though, providing both engines are the same displacement..Most scrapyards have an interchange manual that may help you. (they have to know these things...it's their business)

I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, and I am experiencing no turn signals or flashers. I have replaced the fuses, but still have nothing. What do you think the problem could be?

Had similar problem when i bought my 2000 jeep ch. laredo,I had to bend the metal contacts up on the rear lights where u pull out the bulbs, also cleaned them up with sandpaper, only one bulb was not making contact and so none of my rear lights worked prop.buying new light essembly would also work.
