Trailblazer 2005. The interior fans stopped working. The control panel buttons don't seem to do anything. I feel heat radiating from the vents but the fans don't come on. I have looked at the fuses under the hood and under the drivers side back seat but they look alright. Are there more some place else?

How do I calibrate the heat and A/C climate control on my 2005 Trailblazer. I just replaced the old one, the fan speed stopped working. I know I need to calibrate it but don't know how.

I would try contacting some mechanical calibration in Cincinnati, OH I know of that could help you out.

2005 chevy trailblazer ac won't work but defrost does while driving only

Hi. There happens to be a common problem with these trailblazers inside the ducting box located under the dashboard. The mode actuator door motor stops working due to a faulty motor itself and the default position is defrost only. As far as the Air Conditioning not working, there maybe another problem to diagnose there. Could be low refrigerant, or electrical problems to the compressor, or faulty fan clutch(another very common problem with these trucks). Type in mode actuator door and 2005 trailblazer in your search engine online i.e. Google or Yahoo and you will find many posts about this problem. I think there may even be a Youtube video about replacing it. Let me know you need more help. Thanks.

I have a 2005 Trailblazer EXT. The cruise control all of a sudden stopped working and at the same time my interior light do not come on when I open the door. I am fairly certain it is a fuse. The owners...

I don't believe the two problems are related. For the interior lights check fuses #4 and #40 in the rear fuse panel. Also make sure you didn't inadvertently press the interior light disable button on the left side of the dash.
The cruise control can be disabled for several reasons, such as the check engine light being on, brake lights on continuously, vehicle speed sensor defective or a defect in the turn signal stalk. A technician with a high end scan tool can diagnose the problem easily.

Why does my 2005 trailblazer stall when stopping? We were told it was the engine, and it only has 70,000 miles on it.

Keep cool, the most likely issue is due to lack of idle speed control due to dirt build up on the throttle body interior. First check for leaks in all vacuum lines connecting to the inlet plenum, including positive crankcase ventilation valve. If everything is in order then remove the ducting between the air cleaner and the throttle. Clean throttle interior and idle air control valve thoroughly using a cloth and WD40 spray. When everything is back to looking like new reinstate the air ducting and test. If this results in a cure then ensure that you give your throttle etc. an annual clean in future as a preventative measure. It is amazing how a film of oily grime can upset idling.

I have a 2005 Trailblazer and the speedometer was working I stopped at a stoplight & it stopped working. Doesn't move at all.

Hi,

Pretty common issue with the 03-06 Trailblazers. What happens is the motor behind the gauge wears out over time, eventually more gauges will stop working or start acting crazy.

Check out this page for more details on Trailblazer instrument cluster repair.

WELL WE WILL START WITH YOUR FUEL GAUGE. WHEN IT QUIT WHERE IS THE HAND AT, IF ITS SHOWING OVER FULL THAT MEANS THERES A GROUND WIRE OFF SOMEWHERE. FRIST CHECK THE TOP OF THE TANK YOU WILL SEE ALL THE WIRES THERE, FIND THE ONE THATS PLUGED INTO THE SENDING UNIT, T SHOULD BE THE ONLY ONE THE REST ARE ALL RAPED UP. NOW FOR TH FAN, REPLACE IT, WHEN THEY DO THAT IT MEANS THE BUSHINGS ARE GOING. I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU OUT. PS THATS NOT GOOD WHAT THE DEALERS ARE DOING, BUT WHAT CAN YOU DO. JIMBO
