I had the same problem, turns out tere was a fuse in the fuse panel beside the brake pedal that was blown out, however the fuse wasn't for the lighter it was for the headlights or something but the headlights we're still working.... CHECK ALL of the fuses, not just the lighter

My lighter outlet stopped functioning when using it to power a portable air compressor. I assumed a fuse was blown. However, when I checked both fuse panels, the one under the hood, as well as the panel on the driver-side near the floor, all fuses were okay. I was baffled. Months later, my son (philosophy major!) said he'd have a look with me. We again checked the fuses and then took the radio out to have a look behind the dash. Everything look fine, no burned wires. My son then pulled the plug that connects into the back of the lighter socket. He opened the plastic part of the connector and noticed that the solder had broken and the connector sprung apart (or more likely was melted when the compressor plug-in got hot--as it does). It seems like this piece sort of works like an inline fuse. Well, whatever the case, we soldered the piece back together, snapped the plastic piece back on it, pushed the lighter in and---whoo hoo---we had power again. I now have power for recharging etc. Two final notes: 1) be sure when you test the outlet that the ignition is on. 2) when we were poking around we unknowingly blew the fuse (15amp) under the hood. I realized we had lost all power to that area (radio, clock etc) so I checked under the hood and noticed that we had, indeed, blown that circuit. That prolonged figuring out the problem. All the best. I hope this may prove useful. I was stumped for months until my son had a look. GJM

take the socket out and check for a feed to teh plug, then if you have a feed look on the back of the socket and look for a small loop wire connection and then check this wire and connections for continuety ,think this could be your problem this link has packed up causing the socket not to work .

I dropped a Penny in cigarette lighter on my 2001 acura rl now the radio doesn't work and fuses appear fine

Some radio power sources also tie into the cigarette lighter and power adapters. You mentioned fuses appear ok, if you dont have a test light to test both sides of the fuses try swapping the fuses around from another location and see if that changes anything.. Oh and if the penny is still in the lighter try a ball of tape of the end of a pencil to pull it out.. Look for a fuse listed aux. power or radio/cig lighter. Most likely the fuse is inside the car not under the hood..(usually)..

You can purchase a specific charging socket extension at most car accessory outlets. It can be wired to the car's battery, or as an extension of another heavy load circuit such as the cigarette lighter and this is a very inexpensive item and is reasonably easy to instal.

The accessory power supply, not the cigarette lighter, isn't working. Which fuse do I replace?

The car makers sometimes do not list power outlet, the best thing is to test all the fuses, let me see if i can find a fuse diagram for your 2000 sienna,..................okay fuse is labeled as power outlet and is in the inside fuse box not the engine compartment fuse box, here is a diagram of the fuse box i circled the fuse ,the fuse box is located on the driver side under the left side of the cluster, good day.8_27_2012_5_55_17_pm.gif

My lighter doesnt work, i have two and one doesnt work

There are actually FIVE cigarette lighter/ Auxilliary Power Outlets shown in the wiring diagrams for your vehicle.
The Instrument Panel [1] Accessory Power Outlet (Cigarette Lighter) is protected by the "LTR" Fuse (# 53 - 20 Amp) in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) in the engine compartment.

The Instrument Panel [2] Accessory Power Outlet is protected by the "AUX PWR" Fuse (20 Amp) In the Instrument Panel Fuse Block on the left side of the dash.

The Center Seat Accessory Power Outlet and the (two) Center Console Power Outlets are protected by the "AUX PWR 2" Fuse (20 Amp) In the Instrument Panel Fuse Block on the left side of the dash. NOTE: If your vehicle is not equipped with the Center Seat Accessory Power Outlet, or the Custom Floor Console (optional), this fuse position will most likely be empty.

I USE A SEQUAL PORTABLE OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR THAT RUNS OFF MY ACCESSORY OUTLETS SUCH AS MY CIGARETTE LIGHTER.. I NEED TO KNOW IF IS 15AMP OR 20 AMP. THANKS

most sequal units that i can see draw between 10 and 15 amps depending on the setting used.
if you can tell me the model of the unit and the normal setting used, i should be able to give you a better idea of the current needed.

you may want to check with a lincoln dealership about the rated output of the cigarette lighter as most cars i know of are only rated for 10 amps through a cigarette lighter so you may be on the limit for this.
some accessory outlets are rated higher though and this should be confirmed with the dealer who should be able to find the official ratings for you car.
