You need to reset your alarm system and the only way I know how to do that is to disconnect the battery and reconnect it.

My 1991 jeep alarm goes off whenever the key is turned in any of it's doors. How can I disable the entire alarm system? Thanks

On a 91 Cherokee, grounding the ORANGE/GREEN wire from the drivers door lock sensor will permanently disable the OEM alarm. Do NOT try other methods as it will cause the system to lock down. If that happens, nothing short of a dealer reset or completely removing the electronic control system will allow you to start it.

There is a security feature that will allow to go for a short distance but will stop. It is basically the same as the alarm, when you lock your doors, and then shut the door as you exit, there is a red security light that will blink in the dash. If you manually unlock and open any other door besides the driver door, the alarm will go off. To disable the alarm you have to cycle the key in the driver door. The same goes for the security feature. Cycling the key in the driver door lock manually, should disable the security feature until the doors are locked again. There may be a problem with the remote if you use it instead of you key to unlock your door.

Alarm going off and we cant shut it off its draining the battery how do we disable it

Try locking the doors and then unlock the front drvers side door with the key or go to the back hatch door and unlock it with the key. My mothers jeep kept doing the same thing and we found the solution in one of those combinations. She finally quit locking it at all and for sure doesn't turn on the alarm.

Wont go off

Try unlocking from the passenger door. Some of these had a key cylinder switch on the back of the lock cylinder which deactivates the alarm. If it works ok from passenger side then the switch inside driver door would need replaced

Jeep alarm will not turn off

The ignition security on/off is located at the trunk lock. unlock and lock rear gate and the alarm will turn off. My jeep sat in my drive for a month before a jeep tech told me this. It still triggers the security sometimes when I unlock the passenger door with the key and I go straight to the rear gate lock and it shuts off instantly.
