06 scion xa po303 misfire code under load

Recently got same code. It's a catalytic converter problem most likely requiring replacement. Everywhere recommends to not go with a generic as they'll only last a year or so and to go with a Toyota original. Cost of total is $1400 from Toyota, around $500 for generics from independent garages. Good news is that Toyota/Scion has 8 year/80,000 mile warranty of catalytic converter so if damage to cat is not user-caused you'll be covered for free. So hurry and call local Toyota dealership/repair for appointment ...

Fireing order for a 2004 scion xb

For most 4 cylinders it's 1-2-3-4 but there are a rare few with 1-3-2-4. These are very rare. I don't have a book on your particular vehicle so I can't confirm it one way or the others.

2006 Scion xB Auto w/ 25,000 miles rattle/ping noise during moderate acceleration at 2000 RPM's. Does not make the noise during heavy acceleration. It began softly at 15,000 miles and has gotten louder. ...

wow -- if your powertrain warranty expires in June then I would be kinda concerned about this problem and maybe take the vehicle down to a different Toyota dealer and have them look at it.
by your description it almost sounds like a valve might need to be adjusted(?),, but it could be something different and more serious.
if you are not happy with the report from the dealer - you can always call Scion direct at (866) -70-Scion,, or (866)-707-2466.
here is also some of the Scion information about a complaint and or warranty problems:

Instructions for replacing 2005 Scion xb water pump.

It's pretty straightforward EXCEPT you must loosen the engine mount and jack the engine up about an inch to get enough clearance to get it out/in because the engine is about 1/4" too far to the passenger side. Just did my 04' and that was a hard to find piece of missing info.2_8_2013_3_15_00_am.jpg2_8_2013_3_15_22_am.jpg
