Unable to unlock remotely or from driver side door button

Hi,
I am using 2006 Hyundai Sonata. I am unable to unlock the doors remotely or using the button from Driver side door. I am able to lock the doors but not able to unlock the doors. Could you please let me know what could be the problem and how much it will cost to make it work

Thanks,
Raj

I have this issue and found the cause. Most likely a wire issue (broken, grounding out, etc...) at the bend in the rubber boot the runs between the driver's door and the body.
Try the following with key in the ignition accessory position (to roll up/down windows). Barely open the door. Then while holding the power lock/unlock button (not handle lock latch) in the lock position. Open driver's door very slowly through entire close-to-open range. If you find a range where the power locks work. Test all driver's door power lock mechanisms and the remote fob.
At the writing of this I'm trying to locate steps/instructions on how to remove and repair. But not getting results from online research. I have found out that one can only find eBay used/repaired harnesses.

The drivers side cook lock does not lock or unlock using the remote. The other door do respond to the remote. What is the cause and solution?

Hi Charles

The drivers side door gets the most use
Check the actuator wiring coming through the door hinge
If it works from the key then the Power to the door is OK & the key switch is ok. Must be trigger wire from wireless device receiver!

My 2003 Hyundai Sonata Door locks will not lock using

I have exactly the same problem. Keyfob will unlock the doors, but will only arm the alarm once the doors have been locked manually. Central locking button on driver side door no longer works, but I hear the clicking sound you're referring to.
I took it to a mechanic, and he seemed pretty sure it was a bad master window / door lock switch. The price he quoted to replace it was $255 plus tax, and I could never bite the bullet and pay for the work, so I've just been living with the problem.
Have you solved your situation yet?
