You sound like you have a computer problem on your car, as all this stuff would not go bad at the same time, unless hit by lightning or you had a major electrical melt down. You can try to disconnect fuses for the different systems you do not need and see if it will start and run, starting with the security system fuses.

After that, I would probably look for a used computer and install it. It is located under the glovebox in the trunk and is pretty easy to change if you are up to it. They are not mounted in there very hard, and the biggest thing would be to find the same computer to verify that this is your problem. I have one for a 95 Eldorado and is probably the same, but I can't be positive on this. You might want to find out from a dealer. Most of the systems dhould be the same, but there could be some differences.

It would be best to take it to a dealer, but they would probably want to order a computer to check it out and charge you for it, whether it fixes it or not.

Like I mentioned, most of them computers are the same, and they do have a chip that can be changed that has the differences in your car programed into it. You could find a computer, change it out, then with the computer out, change the chips and try it again.

This is a pretty big gamble, but for that many things to go wrong at the same time, it would be my guess that is your problem.

I changed the starter with new as old one was not turning. After replacing new starter my truck does not crank and start, Please help me to start my Truck. Anti theft light is blinking all the time.

You solved your own problem.
The anti-theft system is probably keeping it from starting.
Get the system checked out and you may find the problem is the chip in the key.

The security system in my 1990 Landau is shorting out How can I disable it?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it can't be disabled.
Based on what I have read, the alarm module is in series with the PCM and even if you were to disable or remove the alarm module, the car would not start.
To disable the alarm under normal conditions you lock and unlock one of the front doors with the key.
Some articles said you could unplug the box in the trunk, but others said the car would not start without the box being connected.

Starting: car will not start; dash reads "starting

Hello, RW Betton,

Here is a few things to try then please read toward the bottom. Please read my whole page here of ideas for you.

Question? when it does disable it usually will say " starting disabled due to theft system remove key from ignition and wait 3 minutes'. Are you able to start car after the 3 minutes? or it wont period? My car does this a lot to but I think its cause you have to unlock the car, get in it, shut the doors and then start the car because mine does it when i open the doors.

Also some times if you have a chip in your key will do this as they ware out, and would have to try you back up key (if you have one) and if turns out to be your key, that has bad chip, dealer would have to replace that.

Finally, this is your other choice as well below, and you can click on that site and it should help you. Most the times this whole issue is triggered from the key itself into the ignition, that cause this.

If you have the GM pass lock system in that car, this is a site that will show you how to disable it:

However, if it were my car I would see what the dealer will charge to fix it first. It may just be a simple reprogramming is needed or a inched wire in the steering column. I would want the car to have an anti theft system working as it should.

I hope my free advice has helped you, and if you could please rate my help accordingly and some kind words too. I appreciate it, and keep me informed on progress. Here is also my direct link for all my services I offer to help you.

I inherited my mom 1993 chrysler new yorker and the anti theft system has given me hades since i got started because the altinator went bad then i replaced the battery and the battery in the little...

can only tell you what I would do: I'd take it to someone that knew how to disable it. Then, I'd completely remove it. You don't need it on a car that old. Now, calm down and go out and try starting it again-it may have died from not being driven lately, or needing a tune-up, but don't give up- they're nice cars.

The security light is 100% the problem. Let me say that again, one hundred percent. GM's are equipped with an anti theft security system. These systems are notorious for failure, and when they do, you get exactly what you have. A car that won't start with a security light on. The problem is figuring out why the system is failing. Could be anything from a bad key, to the actual anti theft computer called a TDM. (theft deterrent module) ive had great luck with just bypassing the whole system. Saves money and time. Prevents future problems. And you can do it yourself. This link will explain everything you need to know and give you ways to fix this yourself for hundreds less than a mechanic.

You will need to look at your manual on steps required to reset your car alarm security system or either contact your car dealer or your auto club technical advice center if you have such membership. As a general rule, since this is an anti-theft protection device, unless you are know to the car dealership or mechanic, they will not give you the information until they can positively identified you! It is a real necessary 'pain', but persevere as you will not be able to start your car again until the alarm is reset. Hope it helps!
