Just replacing the belt wont do the trick belt has to be properly tightened, usualy it is the power steering belt which is hard to reach and tighten so make sure that all hte belts are tight enough

Mazda protege makes a squeaking noise when I start driving?

If your Mazda Tribute's engine has a rumbling noise when you start it, this is most likely from the drive belt. You will need to replace it.

Which bolts on the altenator and power steering pump need to be loosened to release the belts on a 2003 Mazda Protege?

I don`t know that there is a bolt to loosen the belt tension. There should be a automatic tensioner that you pull back and hold to remove the belt.

The belt in my 2000 mazda protege broke this morning which caused the battery to die and i need to know how to get my car running again

Unfortunately the belt has to be replaced and the battery has to be charged for the car to run. It's a quick simple job.If your stuck somewhere I'm sure a local friendly shop can bring you a belt and give you a jump.5min.

Squeaking belts

If it's not the belts, it might be your alternator. I had the same problem. I would have the belts tightened, then the problem would come back a few months later. Ended up that the alternator was bad. Replaced alternator, battery and belts and it hasn't happened since.
