Question about 1995 Buick Roadmaster
I have a 1995 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon, I had to disconnect rear area service lights because they stay on all the time. There is a switch in the tailgate GM part #10131286 which is not available anymore that I am told is the problem. Can anyone help me find a solution. Thanks, Zorba

Short circuit probably not the problem. The pass key system is not being disabled making the car inoperable, thats why it will not crank. Either you are using a key that does not have the correct resistance(black chip in key) or if it is the same key you always used then the pass key sensor went bad. I believe it is in the steering column and a qualified mechanic could help you there.

If you don't have the owners manual most of them were you turn on the ignition to run but do not start the car. Now push the gas peddal to the floor 3 times quickly. The light should start to flash then go out. Turn off the ignition and now start it the light should stay out if it comes back on there is most likely a problem in the ECM or wiring.
