the windshield wipers and tail lights operate unpredictably. I have not looked at it yet, but since I am an electrician and have worked in a VW shop, I would like to have the schematics to troubleshoot it.
I have lots of test equipment, and I am not lost on problems like this.
All I know so far is that the windshield wipers are intermittent, the turn signals do not operate at all.
The VW dealer wants $500 just to look at it. (oh, please)
Sounds like loose connections or corroded connections, maybe a worn out relay?
Anyway, thanks for any suggestions that will lead us to the schematics. - Mykey

How to clean intake on 2001 vw beetle diesel

Hi Jay, What do you need to clean and why? If the intake is fouled with oil it would seem to me that the turbo has become defective and is leaking oil into the manifold. Let us know what the problem is and if you want to clean the outside or the inside of the ducting and manifold? there is a great big difference. Regards John

What oil is needed for a 2002 VW beetle diesel for engine

I personally have used shell rotella 5w40 and nothing else since 2001. You can find it at almost any wal-mart, and napa can get it for you. Recommended viscosity is 5w40, with a commercial rating (ch, ci, cj...) and turbo approved.

Above the Relay Panel is the Auxiliary Relay Panel. Has thirteen positions in it.
6 across the top, 7 across the bottom.

Across the bottom the Glow Plug Relay is the fourth one over from the left. It is Number 10.

2001 1.8L turbo VW beetle replace the cabin air filter

Push the center piece, on the dash, forward until it unsnaps and exposes the screws for the passenger side piece. Take the piece off and you will see the filter bracket down in the dash. Remove the filter and replace with new one.
